All works exhibited on Duffy’s website are custom sculptures created over a period of forty years. Many are commissioned works depicting individuals in historic or memorial events. The commissioning process involves a dialogue between the client and the artist. Duffy welcomes this process especially in the early stages of design/development. Sculptures are cast in metals such as bronze, stainless steel, and titanium. Over the years, Duffy has developed business relationships with world-class art foundries, 3D printing service bureaus, and stone fabricators throughout the United States.
The majority of works exhibited on this website are available for acquisition in small editions by contacting the artist via e-mail or phone. Mathematical works are produced in direct metal via 3D printing and CNC milling. In addition, complex geometry can be laser-scanned to capture any geometry that is dimensionally stable or in motion. Designs can be scaled down, for small detailed works, as well as scaled up, for larger monumental compositions. Sculptures can be developed by combining the traditional method of lost-wax casting with 3D digital technologies, thereby bridging the old and the new. To summarize, the Duffy studio offers multiple modalities of casting and fabrication to arrive at the desired aesthetic outcome. Please email or call regarding pricing, availability and timeline.
The Duffy studio is located in Baltimore, one of the top ranking urban business locations in the United States. Duffy welcomes art dealers and art consultants by appointment. Please email or call to discuss your next project.
